Alex’s passion for filmmaking began at a young age when he used his parents’ DV camcorder to make shorts with his friends. (Luckily, before YouTube.)
Since then, Alex earned a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism at St. Thomas University, then worked as a videographer and editor for Outreach Productions for two years, where he shot and edited numerous videos and commercials for web and television. He joined the New Brunswick Filmmakers’ Co-Op where he now teaches workshops on editing, lighting, and 4K cinema camera operation.
Alex freelances for various production companies as well as directly with clients who are seeking beautiful cinematic imagery to tell their stories. To hire Alex, please use the contact form on this website. For larger-scale projects requiring writing and other crew, it is advised to hire his production company Sar-Cat-Stic Media Inc. Alex also has 4K-capable camera gear available for rent or hire.
